Todd McGee - Principal Consultant
Todd McGee is a highly decorated U.S. diplomat with over two decades of foreign service and military experience. He has significant leadership experience in high-threat, multi-national environments combined with policy work as a State Department negotiator, public outreach coordinator, and Consular Officer.

​As a diplomat, Todd has served in Mexico, Australia, Palau, Afghanistan, Egypt, Nepal, The Bahamas, Colombia, and Lebanon. He has led complex multi-national negotiations, international public outreach campaigns, and advised the highest levels of government on strategic initiatives. As a member of the State Department's Fly Away Team, Todd led, participated in, and directly supported crisis response activities for Afghanistan, Ukraine, Sudan, Niger, Israel, and Haiti. Todd earned the Award for Heroism for his efforts to rescue U.S. citizens being held by the Taliban in August 2021.

Domestically, Todd served as the lead operational designer for the State Department’s crisis management IT modernization efforts and as the Special Assistant to the Chief Information Officer for the Bureau of Consular Affairs. Before becoming a diplomat, Todd served in the U.S. Navy, separating as a Lieutenant Commander.

​Todd earned an MBA from the Naval Postgraduate School, where he was designated a Conrad Scholar for his research in defense investments into Venture Capital equities, and earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Tulane University. Todd also holds a Federal Aviation Administration commercial pilot certificate. In his spare time, Todd is an animal welfare advocate and a volunteer with Best Friends Animal Sanctuary in Salt Lake City, UT, and Nuzzles Pet Rescue in Park City, UT.
